Style is a family matter.

About us
Today, Belsito is a firm gifted with a strong commercial network, after 50 years of business activity dedicated to the search for new names in fashion and to the strengthening of its relations with well-known makes.
It is a well-structured commercial agency, yet dynamically oriented. It enjoys the freedom to choose, without neglecting the curiosity of searching for new products.
A strong point of reference for
firms seeking to be represented
successfully in Calabria
In 1971, Francesco Luigi Belsito, known as “Gino”, began to work with his elder brother Giuseppe, who already had a long experience as a sales representative after his early training in the clothing industry. In line with the family business, Gino worked initially with well-established collections of shirts, suits, and woollens; but he soon came to realise that his natural flair was for more varied and innovative products. In 1975, the Belsito Family opened a clothes shop, called Club2, in the town centre of Pizzo. It was there that Gino took the decision to introduce more casual products, like jeans his great passion. The search for the shop and the work for setting it up, brought him into contact with the emergent new ways of distribution and with firms of ready-to-wear clothes, experiences which helped him to expand his business by means of new brand names of firms, of which he became the sole agent in Calabria. It was during the same year that Gino opened his own commercial agency, establishing excellent relations with the firms he represented. In 1979, the agency presented various beach-wear collections, including the collections from Parah, the first firm to make of beach-wear a luxury item, partly the result of the memorable posters 6x3.
During the first years of the ‘80s, the agency grew considerably, the result of fortunate liaisons with firms which have bene outstanding in the history of casual fashion, like Fruit of the Loom with its colourful T-shirts and sweatshirts; Uniform Jeans, and Tourquoise. This was the fashion followed by the so-called “paninari”, groups of young people who frequented sandwich bars and wore fashionable clothes. Soon afterwards, Gino enlisted other similar firms, like Chambers Chevignon, Catherine Amneth. By the first years of the ‘90s, the agency had established its name, and had become a strong point of reference for firms seeking to be represented successfully in Calabria. It became necessary to move its business offices to the present location, to give more space to the new brand names which are still today a symbol of an era: Onyx, for example, Guru with the emblem of a daisy, or Lonsdale, or many others.
From 2000 onwards, the Agency was yet again in the frontline, establishing carefully selected relations with many new successful firms, from Italy and from abroad, which pursued innovative designs. It is in the name of such tradition that the various sections of the staff, the old and the new, are committed to the further development of the Belsito agency.
